Chloe Fox, Member for Bright was elected to the Parliament of South Australia on March 18, 2006. Formerly Chloe was a  high school teacher  of English, French and History at Loreto College, Marryatville. The daughter of acclaimed children's author Mem, and retired drama lecturer Malcolm, Chloe is passionate about the electorate of Bright, where her family has lived for over 50 years.

Chloe's political career began when she ran as the ALP's candidate for the safe Liberal seat of Boothby at 2004 Federal Election and achieved a 9.9% primary vote swing and a 2% two party preferred swing to Labor, defying the state-wide and national trends. In November that year she was preselecetd as the candidate for Bright.

Born in Adelaide, Chloe's early schooling years began at Cabra College where her father Malcolm was a teacher. Two years later Chloe was enrolled at Blackwood Primary. By the time Chloe was 6 she had travelled the world with her parents and visited Kuwait, Zambia , Iran , France, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, England, India, and South Africa .

Chloe completed her education at Blackwood High and then went on to study at Adelaide University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Education from that institution, as well as a Master of Arts degree from City University, London.

Chloe worked as a journalist for three and a half years at The Advertiser. In 1997 she moved to France where she worked ELLE online and then for UNESCO, (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation). On her return to Australia Chloe retrained as a teacher in 2001, wanting to pursue a profession that gave more back to the community.

Chloe has always been passionate about politics, and handed out her first how-to-vote card for the A.L.P. at the tender age of 14.

Chloe enjoys reading, swimming, travelling and playing badminton (which she is not very good at, but enjoys nevertheless). Chloe lives locally in the electorate at Brighton.
