Hello!  I am the State Member for Bright, and I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at this site.  I live in the heart of my electorate, in Brighton, and have done so for six years. 

This website has been established as another means of communicating with my constituents, as well as informing them of news, issues, events and other items of interest immediately.  It also allows my constituents to contact me at any time to discuss issues of concern to them.

Noarlunga Train Line Upgrade

Stage Two of the Noarlunga train line upgrade has been completed ahead of schedule, after being closed for six months. Stage Three of the upgrades is expected to be completed during 2012, with electric trains anticipated on the line during 2013. The Noarlunga train line upgrade is part of the State Government's $2.1 billion dollar redevelopment of the public transport network.

 

Flinders Medical Centre Upgrade

The State Government is ensuring the Southern Suburbs have an excellent hospital by investing $163 million to upgrade the Flinders Medical Centre. This investment is being used to build: a new maternity wing, a new cardiac ward, a new emergency department, and a new day surgery to improve the quality of care and service at the Flinders Medical Centre. This is a large scale project; yet it is expected to finish in mid 2012.

GP Plus Marion

As part of the State Government's continuing investment in the health and wellbeing of the Community, the State Government in association with the Marion City Council, has funded the GP Plus Health Care Centre in Marion. Services offered at GP Plus Marion include: Healthy lifestyle programs, Dental services, Drug and Alcohol counselling, Mental Health Counselling, and other vital community support services.
